Lic, owes its origin to two things First. The high regard I have entertained for the honored dead for nearly forty-six years as a Christian minister, truly devoted to his calling, very eccentric and original in his ministrations, and unusually successful in winning souls. Second. The desire of the numerous 'friends of our deceased brother that those traits of his character and circumstances of his history and ministry, which made him a remarkable man, should be rescued from oblivion and find a place in the literature of the Methodist' Protestant Church.
