Die Stärke der Biichersammlung zur Zeit der Reformation bezi¿'ert Viseher S. 137 auf etwa 250 Bände, auf Grund der Angaben von P. Merian in der Festschrift von 1849, S. 5 Diese Schätzung beruht so viel ich sehe auf dem ältesten noch vorhandenen Bibliotheks katalog, der die bibliotheca. Antiqua und die bibliotheca nova unterscheidet und einen Umfang der ersteren von etwa 250 Bänden aufweist. Wir werden aber bald sehen, das es kaum angeht, unter der bibliotheca antiqua die zur Zeit der Reformation schon vorhandene Uni versitätshiicherei zu verstehen.
