Wenn ich mich nun der Entwickelung eines wenn auch des interessantesten Zweiges des menschlichen Kulturbesitzes zuwende, der Weltanschauung, oder wie man bisher sagte, der Religion, so erscheint es wünschenswert, die Unter suchung und Darstellung auf ein Gebiet zu beschränken, dessen historische und prähistorische Vergangenheit uns leid lich bekannt ist. Denn jede derartige Darstellung muss mehr oder weniger die geschichtlichen Ereignisse berücksichtigen.
