Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone's heroic altercation with a terrorist on board the 15:17 from Brussels to Paris in August 2015 is put in the context of the three's shared upbringing and friendship, culminating in a nuanced portrayal of their celebrated act. The three authors are set to play themselves in a Clint Eastwood directed adaptation set to emerge this year.

Anthony Sadler is a senior at Sacramento State University majoring in kinesiology and athletic training. He lives in Sacramento.

Alek Skarlatos is a specialist in the Oregon National Guard. A former student of Umpqua Community College, he was recently a finalist on season twenty-one of Dancing with the Stars. He lives in Roseburg, Oregon.

Spencer Stone is a staff sergeant in the US Air Force. He lives in Sacramento.
