Excerpt from A New French Grammar: Accidence and Essentials of Syntax

As regards irregular verbs, in some Grammars they are grouped according to their chief irregularities, in others simply given in alphabetical order. I have tried to combine the ad vantages oi both plans by first pointing out the deviations of anomalous verbs from the rules of tense-formation and personal in¿ections 232 and the peculiarities of the primitive tenses themselves 303 and afterwards placing the verbs of each conjugation alphabetically, so as to facilitate references.
