HE text of this edition is based on that of the fifth annotated edition of Weissenborn and Miiller. I have revised the orthography and endeavoured to render it consistent. I have also exercised my own judgment in the choice of various readings. A brief discussion of the most important variations in the Manuscripts and of the chief emendations proposed will be found in the Critical Appendix.
