Nanotechnology is a field of applied science and can be termed as the synthesis, characterization, exploration and application of nanosized materials for the development of science. It deals with the materials whose structures exhibit significantly novel and improved physical, chemical, and biological properties, phenomena, and functionality due to their nano scaled size and have a larger surface area than macro-sized materials. The importance of achieving product production through the use of ecofriendly sustainable development techniques is being realized more and more in the recent past. Eminent scientists from different research institutions have looked into this aspect seriously and have come up with many enlightening suggestions compiled together in this book.

Dr.M.Ramar is doing as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the department of Zoology at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He did Ph.D. from Entomology Research Institute, Chennai. He worked as a SRF, Lecturer, AP, TA (ICMR) and RA (ICMR). He has published 28 papers, 1 book and 4 book chapters. He is the member of ZSK, NAVBD and ASA (US).
