Women Characters in the Novels of Muslim Women Novelists - Special Reference to Samina Ali's Madras on Rainy Days and Monica Ali's Brick Lane

Women in the Islamic World have achieved high political status and have produced more than seven head of states including Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan, Mame Madior Boye of Senegal, Tansu Çiller of Turkey, Queen Rania of Jordan, Kaqusha Jashari of Kosovo, and Megawati Sukarnoputri of Indonesia. Bangladesh was the first country in the world to have a female head-of-state follows another: Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina each won two elections each. Though so, majority of the Muslim women are still suffered a lot in the world. So Islamic feminists seek to highlight the teachings of equality in Islam to question patriarchal interpretations of Islamic teachings. Islamic feminists have advocated for women's rights, gender equality, and social justice grounded in an Islamic framework.
