Yo creo que ¡basta recordar el lazo que une los fenóme nos terrestres entre sí, y que he procurado esclarecer en la primera parte del Cosmos, para probar que es imposible reunir los resultados de la observacion, tan vastos y tan complejos aparentemente, sin profundizar la conexion que liga a las causas con los efectos. Por otra parte, la signifi cacion de la Naturaleza se debilita considerablemente cuan do por una escesiva acumulacion de hechos aislados se roba a las descripciones, por medio de las cuales se la quiere reproducir, todo su calor vivificante.
