The Movable Feasts comprised in the follow ing table depend, for the most part, on the feast of Easter. Now, the first general council ~oi Nice, held in 325, decided that Easter, or the solemnity of the Resurrection, should be cele brated on the first Sunday after the full moon (the 14th day of the moon) which occurs on or next after the 2lst day of March, then believed to be the day of the spring equinox.
