Informationen zum Autor E. A. Preobrazhensky (1886-1937) was a leading Bolshevik, the most prominent Soviet economist of the 1920s, and co-author of The ABCs of Communism . A prominent early member of Leon Trotsky's Left Opposition in its early stages, Preobrazhensky was executed by Stalin in 1937. Richard B. Day Ph. D. (1970), University of London, is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has published extensively on Soviet economic and political history, including Leon Trotsky and the Politics of Economic Isolation (Cambridge, 1973), and , with Daniel Gaido, Witnesses to Permanent Revolution (Haymarket 2011).
