Universal physical laws are formulated on tangent spaces and related by linear transformations. Gregory L. Light, Professor of Finance in Providence College, has a Ph.D. in Business Economics from U. of Michigan. Due to the interplay of Physics and Economics, he stayed at UM for an MA in Mathematics and then a Ph.D.-ABD in Dynamical Systems in Applied Math at Brown U., thus gaining broad modeling capabilities, e.g. for the physical Universe.
