Managers often tend to take themselves too seriously and to complicate matters instead of keeping them simple. Henry Migliore has avoided this, and delivers the message but succeeds in doing so without the excess of verbiage which often accompanies the subjects about which he writes. The reader is tempted to read the entire book at one sitting. This could be a mistake! Each "gem" in the book is one which should be read, then thought through and digested for later application.
While "common sense management" is an approach most of us advocate, many times there is an uncommon lack of it.
