Informationen zum Autor Tadaaki Tani received his doctorate in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1968, and went on to prestigious careers in the photoraphic industry and in academia. He worked on silver halide photography in the laboratories of the Fujifilm Corporation (1968-2010), and as Lecturer and Guest Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (1994-2008). He was also President of the International Committee for imaging Science (1997-2006), and President of the Society of Photograph and Imaging of Japan (2002-2006). He has won many awards for his work, including the Berg Prize of the International Committee for Imaging Science (2010).
