Ulteriori informazioni
Here, all aspects of the topic are presented in a compact manner. The book is clearly structured, and divided into two sections -- asymmetric synthesis of heterocycles containing only one nitrogen and that of those with more than one nitrogen as a heteroatom -- such that the necessary information may be found at a glance. The international team of authors provides important experimental procedures, including industrial applications.Essential for synthetic chemists in pharmaceutical and agrochemical chemistry.

Info autore
Jacques Royer is Director of Research at the CNRS. He is currently the head of a laboratory of medicinal chemistry at the University Paris Descartes. He got his PhD at the University of Paris-Sud Orsay, and worked for 18 years at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles at the CNRS in Gif-sur-Yvette in the group of Prof. Henri-Philippe Husson. His research areas are asymmetric synthesis of natural products and more particularly alkaloids, amino alcohols and amino acids as well as original methods of synthesis including electrosynthesis. He is the author of about 100 publications in international renowned journals.

Relazione
"Finding no book or review article offering an overview of methods used in preparation of nitrogen heterocycles in their asymmetric form, Royer (University Paris Descartes) tackled the project, enlisting contributions from some colleagues with special expertise...The volume offers a clearly structured, compact presentation in two sections." ( SciTech Book News, December 2010)
"The book is clearly written and very well structured. It should prove useful to any chemist interested in a brief overview of the main procedures for the asymmetric synthesis of simple nitrogen heterocycles." ( Angewandte Chemie International Edition , 2009)
