Stefanie de Velasco, geboren 1978 in Oberhausen, studierte Europäische Ethnologie und Politikwissenschaft in Bonn, Berlin und Warschau. 2011 erhielt sie für den Anfang ihres Debütromans den Literaturpreis Prenzlauer Berg, 2012 war sie Stipendiatin der Schreibwerkstatt der Jürgen-Ponto Stiftung. 2013 erhielt sie das Schreibstipendium des Künstlerdorfes Schöppingen. Derzeit ist sie Stipendiatin der Drehbuchwerkstatt München. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
