Holden was born in the small town of Smithers, British Columbia, and moved often while growing up. With every move, Holden would join whatever community group she could so she could follow her passion for acting. At fifteen, she was signed to a modeling contract. Holden moved to Japan to start her career, Holden studied the Japanese culture and quickly made it her second home. Although Japan was her big break, modeling was never her real passion, so, she used it as a stepping stone to greater things.
