Every weekend, hundreds of thousands of runners limber up to take part in local organised 5k events - the stepping-stone distance to middle distance running. Scott has been running since the age of 14 where at Orleans Park School in Twickenham he made his first steps into the competitive world of athletics. From winning cross country races at school, Scott went on to gaining a running scholarship to the USA in 2004. He attended Butler University from 2004-2007 and during his time here he gained his first GB vest in 2005, at the European U23 Championships.

He made his marathon debut at the Berlin Marathon in 2011, running a time of 2:10.55 finishing in 5th place. Scotts next marathon was the 2012 London Olympic Games running for Team GB.
