Informationen zum Autor Dr Helen Kennerley is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and a Senior Associate Tutor with the University of Oxford. She is a founder member of the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC), where she was formerly the Lead for the OCTC Clinic and Director of Advanced Cognitive Therapy Studies courses & MSc. She now leads the University of Oxford Postgraduate Certificates in Psychological Trauma & Personality Development and in Supervision & Training. She has practised CBT for over thirty years, having trained in Oxford and the US. She has specialised in helping those with a history of personal adversity and, with OCTC colleagues, developed a therapy programme in the 1980s which is still being used today. She has also written several popular cognitive therapy self-help books and academic texts, some of which have been commended by the British Medical Association. She was shortlisted for the BABCP award of most influential female cognitive therapist in Britain at their thirtieth anniversary celebrations.
