The spitfire is one of the most legendary fighter planes of the Second World War. More than 22,000
were made and it saw action on ail fronts where the RAF was engaged. This aircraft was constantly updated
throughout its career and there were no less than fourteen different versions and three generations of Spitfire which
were put into service between 1938 and 1946.
