Was verdient Würde genannt zu werden? Wie ist Bildung auf Würde zu beziehen? Es zeigt sich: Weder kann ein unmittelbarer Rechtsanspruch auf Bildung aus dem Menschenwürdeprinzip abgeleitet werden; noch kann die Gottebenbildlichkeitsfigur als Begründung von Würde und Bildung im interdisziplinären Diskurs überzeugen. Allerdings lassen sich für einen vermittelten Zusammenhang von Würde und Bildung drei Begründungsmodelle identifizieren. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht diese Studie kritisch den Umgang mit der Würdethematik unter anderem in der Schulbuchliteratur und im EKD-Kerncurriculum. Es werden Kriterien zur kompetenzorientierten Auswahl von Inhalten entwickelt. Eine Synopse mit Auswertungsinterpretation dient der sachgerechten und didaktischen Orientierung. [Education and dignity. Religious education reflections in an interdisciplinary context]What dignity deserves to be called? How should education be related to dignity? It turns out that a direct legal right to education cannot be derived from the principle of human dignity. Nor can the traditional theological topos Image of God convince in the interdisciplinary discourse. Concerning the mediated relationship between education and dignity, however, three models are quite dominant. Against this background, this study critically examines the use of the dignity issue in the schoolbook literature and the curriculum of the Evangelical Church in Germany. Criteria for competency-based selection of contents were developed in this study. A synopsis with evaluation allows an appropriate and didactic orientation.
