A. K. Gundy studied at the University of St Andrews and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge before becoming a history teacher at Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge. This is her first book. She is also the author of 'The Earl of Warwick and the Royal Affinity in the Politics of the West Midlands' in Revolution and Consumption in Late Medieval England (edited by M. Hicks, 2001).
