Dr. Gottfried Seebaß (1937- 2008) war evangelischer Theologe. Von 1978 bis 2002 war er Professor für Historische Theologie an der Universität Heidelberg, von 1996 bis 2000 war er Präsident der Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften. Dr. Gottfried Seebaß hielt Gastvorlesungen in den USA und Australien.
