Informationen zum Autor David Moody was born in 1970 and grew up in Birmingham on a diet of trashy horror and pulp science fiction books and movies. He worked as a bank manager and as operations manager for a number of financial institutions before giving up the day job to write about the end of the world for a living. He has written a number of horror novels, including AUTUMN, which has been downloaded more than half a million times since publication in 2001 and has spawned a series of sequels and a movie starring Dexter Fletcher and David Carradine. Film rights to HATER have been bought by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth) and Mark Johnson (producer of the Chronicles of Narnia films). Moody lives in the Midlands with his wife and a houseful of daughters and stepdaughters, which may explain his pre-occupation with Armageddon. Klappentext Forty days have passed since the end of the world began. Billions of people were killed in less than a day and now the entire world is rotting. Those few who are still alive are dealing with a nightmare situation. The dead swarm the land, limited by their decaying bodies - and yet, remarkably, they are becoming more controlled. They are becoming self-aware, and they will defend themselves at all costs. A group of men and woman have managed to survive against the odds, burning, smashing, battering and destroying every dead body they come across. Somewhere nearby, out of sight and out of earshot, another group of survivors have adopted a completely different strategy for survival: silence, restraint and self-control. But a series of horrific events are about to force these two groups of people together and time is running out. With tension rising and fear reaching unbearable levels it's suddenly no longer clear whether the biggest threat comes from outside the walls of the shelter, or from within. Praise for the AUTUMN series: 'David Moody continues to go against the trend by writing zombie fiction (without the word "zombie") and swapping gore for intelligent storytelling and deep character development. This is smart fiction, written with style and insight' Jonathan Maberry, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Patient Zero 'Autumn is genuinely creepy' David Wellington, bestselling author of Monster Island www.davidmoody.net www.lastoftheliving.net 978 0 575 09144 3 £7.99 The cult hit zombie epic continues!
