La traque

Chaque automne, John et son grand-père vont à la chasse au cerf, afin de se procurer de la viande pour l'hiver. Mais cette année, tout est différent. Le vieil homme est malade, et John, âgé de treize ans, devra partir seul. La veille de l'ouverture de la chasse, il aperçoit une biche près de la grange. Curieusement, elle ne s'enfuit pas à son approche...
