Le Havre, the largest town in Normandy with more than 190,000 inhabitants, is a young town, founded in 1517 by François 1^st. Despite the vagaries of History, it has been able to grow, to be reborn from the ashes, to stand, impossible to ignore, at the mouth of the estuary of the Seine.
