Informationen zum Autor Greg Francis is a Professor of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University. He teaches undergraduate statistics for psychology students as well as selected other courses. His research focuses on mathematical models of visual perception. In 2003 Greg was awarded the teaching award for the psych department. He is the first author on Cog Lab (a saleable software product that is used in Cognition and research methods courses) which is now in version 2.0- 4th edition. CogLab consists of approximately 50 labs and is used in courses nationwide and internationally. It sells approximately 20,000+ copies each year. Greg has also published CogLab on a CD, CogLab Reading and Social Psychology Labs. Klappentext Take statistics from the printed page and make them come alive! STATLAB Online is an online laboratory that allows students to actively participate in classic behavioural experiments by gathering and analyzing their own data. Students are guided through the analysis of their data to demonstrate different statistical techniques in a meaningful way. Students and their instructor can also analyze data generated by the whole class. By working with their own data, STATLAB Online provides a new way for students to appreciate the relevance of statistical analyses for understanding human behaviour. STATLAB Online has been developed by Gregory Francis and Ian Neath, creators of the popular CogLab Online Laboratory for Cognition and Research Methods courses (Wadsworth).
