Informationen zum Autor DR. ROBELLO SAMUEL is a chief technical advisor in the drilling division of Halliburton and has been with the company since 1998. With dozens of articles and several books to his credit, including Downhole Drilling Tools, Drilling Engineering, and Advanced Drilling Engineering, he is also an adjunct professor in the petroleum program at the University of Houston. Dr. Samuel is also on the board of Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, and he holds degrees from the University of Madurai (BS and MS) and Tulsa University (MS and Ph.D.). Klappentext A "must-have" guide for any drilling, completion, or petroleum engineer, with thousands of frequently used formulas and calculations on a daily basisPresented in an easy-to-use format, Formulas and Calculations for Drilling Operations is a quick reference for day-to-day work out on the rig or in the office. It also serves as a handy study guide for drilling and well control certification courses. Virtually all the mathematics required on a drilling rig are here in one convenient source, including formulas for pressure gradient, specific gravity, pump output, annular velocity, buoyancy factor, riser margin and many other topics. This outstanding new reference:* Includes detailed calculations for the most common problems engineers face daily, including offshore calculations, horizontal drilling, and many other state-of-the-art technologies in drilling operations* Is the "have-to-have" handbook for any drilling engineer* Compact, with only the most useful information it can be used in the office or in the field* Complete and up-to-date, this is the most comprehensive tool for engineers working in drilling operations ever published Zusammenfassung Presented in an easy-to-use format, Formulas and Calculations for Drilling Operations is a quick reference for day-to-day work out on the rig.
