The exciting fifth installment in John Devolle's Big Science for Little Minds series, the scientific picture books guaranteed to thrill young readers.

If you're reading this book right now, then you are almost certainly a human...

Humans is the fifth book in the widely acclaimed Big Science for Little Minds series, written and illustrated by John Devolle. Previously, readers have learnt about atoms, brains, germs and planets - now it's time to learn about what makes the human race so different to other species.

In this book, you'll discover all sorts of amazing and mind-boggling facts about humans, like:

  • which animals we're most closely related to
  • how it is that, unlike our animal relatives, we can do things like play the guitar and write with a pen
  • and even about the extraordinary organ that is the human brain - perhaps one of the most complex things in the whole universe!

Humans is a stunningly illustrated picture book, perfect for children aged 4+. It is a fun, accessible introduction to science for younger readers, and a great book for parents to read with curious young minds. The author, John Devolle, has run an art gallery in East London, been a graphic designer / art director, and, since 210, worked as an illustrator on numerous children's books. Big Science for Little Minds combines his passion for science with his love of the visual arts.
