About the author

Sven Nordqvist is one of Sweden's most popular writers and illustrators. His accolades include the Astrid Lindgren Prize, the Swedish Literature Award, The German Youth Literature Prize and the Elsa Beskow Medal. Sven's artwork is rich in colour and detail.
His Findus and Pettson stories, about a farmer who owns a talented cat, are internationally renowned and have been made into movies and a popular television show in Sweden and Germany.
Sven is also the creator of The Tomtes' Christmas Porridge and The Dog Walk. He currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
