Description

When Alan Russell purchases an antique mirror to furnish his new house that he shares with wife Marie and children Tim and Kaylie, he simply thought it would look decorative on the wall. When Alan and Marie begin to hallucinate and become violent towards each other and the children, Kaylie starts to think that maybe the mirror could be to blame.
Eleven years later, Tim is released from the psychiatric hospital where he had been serving time for the murder of his father. While her brother was being convinced by medical professionals that what they thought they saw could not possibly have been real, Kaylie has spent her time researching the mirror and trying to prove the existence of its satanic powers.

Es gab einige nette Schockeffekte, aber grundsätzlich fand ich den Film sehr mühsam zum schauen.

Katee Sackhoff : excellente actrice !

Karen Gillan aussi !
Ça fait plaisir de voir son vrai visage, parce que dans le Gardiens de la Galaxie 2, elle est méconnaissable.

Brenton Thwaites est nickel aussi !

Par contre : les flashbacks incessants sont intéressants, mais on finit par perdre le rythme.
Ce qui fait que la tension baisse avant de monter très haut.
Le film le plus effrayant depuis Conjuring ? Malheureusement pas, non !
Certes, je vais regarder mes miroirs autrement, mais je ne vais pas forcément allumer les lumières ce soir, car ce film va pas m’empêcher de dormir profondément.

L’intrigue est intéressante, les théories de la fille aussi, ainsi que son speech qui fait qu’elle est persuadée de sa théorie. L’incrédulité de son frère est bienvenue.
La fin est aussi plutôt subtile, bien qu’elle laisse un gout amer.

En fin de compte, je suis plutôt assommé par la lourdeur et l’oppression du film.
Et même la musique du générique de fin m’a saoulé. J’ai préféré mettre du Lily Allen pour faire ma critique !

Hat mir nicht gefallen. Fand den Film eher langweilig, weder gruselig noch spannend. Na ja und die Geschichte ist auch nicht wirklich überraschend neu.
