  • Sammy rauchig, rockig, gut

Written on 06. May 2012 by Mike Visp Wallis.

Einfach super

  • Gut

    Written on 02. May 2012 by Dave/Basel.

  • TOP

Written on 20. August 2011 by hattrick.

Freue mich auf die neue!!! Seit 2 Jahren.

Billig-Verpackung??

  • Top-Album - Billigst-Verpackung

Written on 11. May 2010 by Mark.

  • supergroup ohne erfolgsdruck

Written on 28. July 2009 by rockfan.

  • Album of the YEAR !!!

Written on 27. July 2009 by Pat M..

What a Band !!! Everything is perfect on this album : for the 1st to the last songs !!! Chickenfoot is a quite stupid name, but the most important is the music, isn't it ?

  • jojo

Written on 26. July 2009 by tadaa.

  • to Back in the ring

Written on 23. July 2009 by EVH.

  • 55? Niemals!

Written on 21. July 2009 by Back in the ring....

I (still) can't crive 55! :-)

  • Highlight 2009

Written on 08. July 2009 by Dani Rocksaurier.

  • Geiles Album!!

Written on 21. June 2009 by patiscat.

  • To all the Chickenhead's !

Written on 16. June 2009 by Simon.

Chickenfoot rules ! Plug in and play ! Thank you very much !

  • VH-Trostpflaster

Written on 13. June 2009 by Patrik.

  • that's rock 'n' roll

Written on 13. June 2009 by chopperdog.

Written on 12. June 2009 by z.z. van shnerk.

so go on and listen to some of sam's solo stuff such as street machine or standing hampton, the red album or danger zone or the great MONTROSE album back in 73. there really was only one way to rock way back then and Sammy showed everybody which one it was. apart from all that - didn't he write some fantastic material on his own back in the 80s?? -three lock box, voa, titletrack for the heavy metal-OST an so on. hell yeah sam knew there was only one way to rock for sure - and that's where he finally seems to pick back up with satch, smith et al.

  • Einfach zu geil!!

Written on 11. June 2009 by Tom.

Written on 10. June 2009 by hörndlimaa.

....well thats another discussion, as i like most of sammy's van dayz... and i'm f*in glad my speakers do not show the bands name, 'cause i don't really care bout the band's name when the music they perform is rockin' me! ...äh was söll's, chasch es ja eh nöd läse im cede.... :-D

  • Van Hagar days?

Written on 10. June 2009 by ruxene.

if there's anything to miss about the van halen days, then it's the van halen YEARS with Roth, not Hagar. People seem to be confusing two different bands here: Van halen and Van Hagar. Apart from that, chickenfoot rux anyways!

  • Geile Platte, geiles Cover!!

Written on 08. June 2009 by Jihadx.

Kaufen!

  • e crazy idee...

    Written on 06. June 2009 by saiten-plingg.

  • Geiler Rock!

Written on 06. June 2009 by Jimmy Page.

Written on 06. June 2009 by Koppernikus.

  • SUPER!!!!!!!

Written on 30. May 2009 by PaZ.

wer wohl hinter all den englischen Kommentaren steckt?

  • Suds !

Written on 17. May 2009 by Simon.

S*it, tell us more ! Did they "only" perform Chickenfoot Songs ? Or maybe any of their Band's Songs (RHCP, SH, VH, SATCH) ???
    thx !

  • Chickenfoot rocked the house!

Written on 15. May 2009 by Suds.

I was at their first gig in Seattle last night, and heard all the songs for the first time...these guys are totally slammin'! Chad Smith and Mike Anthony are locked in, Satch is laying down rhythm and then going absolutely mad over the top, and Sammy is riding the tide. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen.

  • Endlich wieder einmal.....

Written on 14. May 2009 by Heavyfrank.

Nichts anderes als einfach GREAT!

  • Chickenfoot

    Written on 14. May 2009 by Rob5150.

"Turning Left" has that retro-VH sound. Would have fit right in on VH II with Dave and Eddie.

  • lady di

Written on 14. May 2009 by Dianne.

As a long time Sammy Fan as well as Satriani and Van Halen fan, I was intrigued to hear this stuff. So far I think its good, cant wait to hear it live at the Fillmore in S.F. Im a bit disapointed by all the VH fans that hate it cause they support Dave or just thee haters of Hagar cause they like VH the way it used to be.Get over it it people. We all evolve, new music is always welcome and I think this band will be a nice edition to all the un rock like stuff that is out there right now.

  • ?????

Written on 13. May 2009 by Jambone.

Middle of the road album nothing really inspiring here and not many good hooks....but I will give it a few more listens to see if it grows on me! To me it sounds alot like Hagar solo stuff with the song arrangements but like I said I will listen more

  • sounds like 10/13

Written on 13. May 2009 by life long Sam Fan.

go listen to 10/13 by Sammy... this is the same sound... not as good as I expected... but it is early... Get it up SMOKES... . but the others don't have that Power that I expected...

  • THE FOOT RULZ

Written on 13. May 2009 by THE TOTAL PACKAGE.

    THIS ALBUM WILL RULE

    PS VAL IS A SCAB

  • WOW!!

Written on 13. May 2009 by Bulldog.

Anyone who is ragging on this music is obviously a fan of todays garbage!! This is an incredible band and the music comes through great. Incredible vocals, Sammy has gone back to his bluesy roots ala Montrose with Michaels harmonies. Joe is finally playing songs, damn good ones at that and Chad is rockin' as always. I have pre-ordered it and am waiting for a tour date near me!!!

  • Thank you!

Written on 12. May 2009 by Nevetts.

So great to hear Sam and Michael together again. Their harmonies are incredible together! Adding the solid back bone of Chad and the wizardry of Satriani only equal success! Thank you guys for bringing on the rock!!

  • Awesome album

    Written on 12. May 2009 by M.J.L.

Let the Sammy bashing begin. No new Van Halen material with Dave since we called Russia the USSR, and we still complain about Hagar. This album is going to be great. Who cares if all the so called CVH loyalists like it or not, It won't change anyones minds for them. If VH puts out a new album, great,I cant wait, well obviously we all can, but to bash Chickenfoot, Sammy or anything to do with this album is just stupid. Joe sounds great, Sammy is STILL a better singer, Mike made the the right and only choice, and Chad has always rocked. Lastly, Thank god lyrics don't have to be poetry, Rush, Dream Theater and David Lee Roth???? Jamie shouldn't cry, she should JUMP!

  • Great album

Written on 12. May 2009 by Joey.

I'd call this pretty good classic rock but top notch compared to what else is out there currently. They are clearly a band that perform tightly together and not just a collection of egos that the term "supergroup" would imply.

The first three cuts and these tasty little morsels will get the 'Foot added to my CD collection.

Oh and for all of the Van Halen apologists, I'll still root for Eddie if he ever does anything productive again besides trying to rehash old songs and tours to cover his habits.

  • JUKE likes it

Written on 12. May 2009 by JUKE.

Give it some time people..i agree with a previous comment...ya need to listen to it a couple times..i don't hear the ZEP reference people were talking about a few month ago..granted it's only a few secs...give it time people..no rush..

  • Mike

Written on 12. May 2009 by Mikey Mike Bag of Donuts.

Not bad...most good albums need a few listens

  • Really Mediocre

Written on 12. May 2009 by CMAC.

These 4 top musicians in this band and all we get is plodding dinosaur rock. Most of the songs are the same tempo, with no energy or groove. How long do you have to practice to make something that should be really rocking, sound so laboured and forced. These guys are trying so hard to tell us that they're having a blast and it just isn't working. I've heard the 3 full songs on their facebook page and 30 seconds is all I need to tell that the rest of the album is not worth buying. Sammy has turned into the song title equivalent of Steven Seagal with his 3 word titles. Got to keep it simple for all the fans I guess..........

  • Joe vs Eddie

Written on 12. May 2009 by PaulG.

Whats with all the Joe haters? Not only is he a down to earth humble man but a killer guitar player. Eddie has been a childhood hero of mine since VanHalen 1. I worship the man, but give Joe a break. Give his music a good liston. Head to head - as hard as it is for me to say it, Joe is much more of a musician. Besides, it's a new band and finally some grate tunes. See you at the Fillmore boy!!!!!!! yayyyyyy!

  • It's good to hear Michael

Written on 12. May 2009 by Zeman.

From the snipets- Its sound promising. I will agree Sammy need some better lyrics. Aside from that I think they have all the basis covered some token ballads, and some heavy riff rock--thanks to Joe.
    I will buy it!

  • Not Bad But not Great

Written on 12. May 2009 by D. Wilson.

Bottom line is....Sammy needs to find a lyricist who can broaden his writing. Great voice and all...but for him and any singer w/ his extensive resume, it's hard to write a whole album of fresh lyrics that are not rehashed. Very few artist are that prolific their whole career. Tyler and Perry co write..and still do it with great commercial success. The band is solid as you would expect. Satch is a smooth technician. leaves me cold. Ed had more soul and kerBOOM to his writing. Ed is an icon, although he is apparently nuts. Period. M/A is still the man and so is Chad. Will I buy it? Still Pondering.

  • Put My Foot Up Yer...

Written on 12. May 2009 by myklj999 (ozone).

Yeah, I'm gonna buy it. Yeah, it COULD be better...I'd rather have something that is balls-to-the-wall all the way through, but at least there aren't too many slower cuts.

  • The Foot RULES!

Written on 12. May 2009 by Mare.

Kudos to the guys for bringing some NEW old-school rock n roll to the masses!! Can't wait for the Philly show!

Keep on livin for the music!! See ya on the road!

    Cheers!

  • First and Last.

Written on 12. May 2009 by Scott.

Drivel. This will be the first and last album by Chickenfoot.

  • OH YEAH

Written on 12. May 2009 by Peeweethedane.

Cant wait to hear this cd in its full lenght, this is a KICKASS band, and the songs sounds GREAT. waiting impatiently for the london and copenhagen shows:-)

  • This Is SICK!!!!

Written on 12. May 2009 by Rox.

Hater's Will have to eat dirt.!!Chickenfoot Rules and this album is going to KICK ASS whether you like it or not!! Yes I Do miss the Van Halen Days when Hagar and Anthony was going wild. Hagar has heart and Class, Anthony has a decent attitude, Satch is blazing on the strings and Chad is playing ten times better than his Day's as a Chilli Pepper. Chickenfoot Up Your Ass!!!!!

  • Take the Red out of the chicken

Written on 12. May 2009 by Cabo.

The band sounds great with out Hagar. I think Joe should start a new solo album, with Mike and Chad. Sammy is old and slows them down.

  • I hacked up a Chickenfoot

Written on 12. May 2009 by bullittcrazy.

Big VH fan here. Was honestly excited about this even though I'm more a EVH fan than a Sammy fan. Fact is at least these got a new cd coming! Listened to the samples and other than one tune, not to crazy bout it. Die hard Sammy/Sat and Chad fans ya and MikeyvsVH supporters will buy this blindly as I probably would a new VH album (crosses fingers). I will not be buying this cd even though I had planned on it.

  • Mediocre at best

Written on 12. May 2009 by redballjets.

You are right half of Van Halen is Half of Van Halen. Luckily this band is only 1/4 Van Halen. Granted I am only hearing 30 second excerpts but its not gonna get much better. Hopefully chad will go back to the peppers soon and Joe will go to solo land again and maybe Mike will end up where he belongs back with VH and maybe sammy can buy back in to cabo wabo and start selling tequila
again. That is what he is best at

  • Cant Wait

    Written on 12. May 2009 by rwsice9.

I love all the people who say these guys dont know how to write a catchy melody.. listen to ANY of their solo work. Joe is the best at what he does, Sammy is probably about the best singer out there right now.. I dont eve need to explain Mike and Chad.. Get yourself some musical knowledge before you knock these 30 second SAMPLES!
This is going to be the CD of the year!

  • sorry

Written on 12. May 2009 by dave lee roth.

Like the sound! But half of Van Halen still sounds like Van Halen. Props to Joe and Chad.
Alex,Ed, Mike ,Sammy bury the f'ing hatchet and give us the real deal!!! We miss Van Halen, the way Van Halen should be. Hell if Aerosmith did it, Van Halen needs to. 3 generations of rockers want to see it and hear it

  • Well.... it is fresh:)

Written on 12. May 2009 by Viva Halen.

I guess if I had it my way? I would cut Joe's soloing in half and save the rest for his solo CD. Also, I would have used more melodic riffs to better use Mike's awesome back up range. Still liked what I heard so far.

  • SUPERB

I am biased, and I think it's awesome.

Chickenfoot may be huge or not.. I hope them the best...

I am definitely buying everything they put out, Sammy and the guys ROCK! go Joe!

(Hey Joe, don't listen to the punters, I listened to the snip of "get it up" and instantly saw the screaming fans rockin in the pit in a huge stadium!)

    GO JOE!

  • Great songs!

Written on 11. May 2009 by Victory.

    Great!!

  • Disappointing.

Written on 11. May 2009 by Vik.

Granted these excerpts are very low-fi streaming audio and not complete songs, but Satriani's glory days are long behind him.

I think this "supergroup" could learn a thing or two from bands like Extreme (Nuno Bettencourt) or Rush (Lee/Lifeson/Peart) on how to craft songs which blend both catchy melodies and technical wizardry.

Totaler Ripoff!
