Description

Chile has it all: gorgeous landscapes, smokin`- hot women, cool dudes, great wine, and the wildest parties. For a hapless American tourist, nicknamed Gringo (Eli Roth) by his two Chilean pals Ariel (Ariel Levy) and Pollo (Nicolás Martínez), the trip has been heaven on earth - except that he just can`t hook up with the ladies. Gringo`s luck seems to change when the group meets a trio of babes - Russian model Irina (Natasha Yarovenko), non-stop party girl Kylie (Lorenza Izzo) and her serious sister Monica (Andrea Osvárt) - who agree to accompany them on a trip to the coastal town of Valparaíso. The new friends are having the best of times whooping it up in a dance club, until a violent earthquake brings the entire city down around them. With this one-time paradise now a landscape of death and destruction that`s seething with terror and panic, our unlucky heroes must run for their lives from looters, escaped convicts, and the inevitable aftershocks.

In Chile findet man wirklich alles: atemberaubende Landschaften, heisse Ladies, coole Typen und die wildesten Parties, die man sich vorstellen kann. Für einen amerikanischen Touristen, von seinen chilenischen Kumpeln Ariel und Pollo nur Gringo genannt, ist der Trip der Himmel auf Erden - nur mit den Mädels will es bis jetzt noch nicht so recht klappen Gringos Glück scheint sich zum Besseren zu wenden, als die Jungs ein echt heisses Trio kennen lernen: das russische Model Irina, das scharfe Nonstop-Partygirl Kylie und ihre nachdenklich-ernsthafte Schwester Monica. Doch eine Nacht im angesagtesten Club von Santiago wird zu einem Albtraum aus Terror und Panik, als ein verheerendes Erdbeben das Urlaubsparadies heimsucht und dem Erdboden gleich macht. Jetzt muss die Gruppe um ihr Leben laufen und auch kämpfen verfolgt von Plünderern, entflohenen Häftlingen und den unausweichlichen Nachbeben...

gibt es eigentlich auch nur einen film wo eli roth seine finger im spiel hat (ja, gilt auch für IB) welcher nicht eine einzige zumutung und an peinlichkeiten kaum zu überbieten ist?!?

Nicht besonders spanned. Nicht besonders gut. aber wer nichts besseres zu tuen hat als ein paar Erdbeben-Überlebende welche von entflohenen Sträflingen durch die Nacht gejagt werden und nicht vor ein, zwei recht blutigen szenen zurückschreckt, kommt bestimmt auf seine Kosten.
