Description

It`s a rare and powerful short film. It tells the true story of high-ranking naval officer Takeyama, who took is own life in the wake of an attempted military coup in 1936. This silent film is shot in stark black and white, echoing the traditions of Noh theatre, using a minimalist setting and just two actors - Mishima as the general and Tsuruoka Yoshiko as his wife Reiko.
