Based on 1995 Terry Gilliam movie , 12 Monkeys follows the journey of a time traveller, Cole using a dangerous and untested method of time travel - who arrives in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate most of the human race.
