Ende 1969 und in den ersten Monaten von 1970 produzierten und mixten PINK FLOYD ihren Beitrag zu Michelangelo Antonios alternativem Blick auf die US-amerikanische Gesellschaft, „Zabriskie Point“. Drei Songs wurden auf dem Soundtrack-Album veröffentlicht, weitere vier wurden 1997 auf der Extended-CD-Version hinzugefügt. Bisher niemals auf einem PINK FLOYD-Tonträger veröffentlicht, enthält die Box neu gemischte und aktualisierte Versionen des „Zabriskie Point“-Audiomaterials.
Im selben Jahr veröffentlichten PINK FLOYD ihr erstes UK-Nummer-1-Album mit Atom Heart Mother, eine Kollaboration mit Ron Geesin. Das Audiomaterial präsentiert die erste Performance für die BBC mit Orchester und Chor sowie den Quadrophonie-Mix auf DVD.

Das Videomaterial umfasst eine volle Stunde PINK FLOYD-Auftritt in der Kabelfernsehen-Station KQED in San Francisco sowie Auszüge aus einer historischen Performance von Atom Heart Mother. Außerdem Material vom Fernsehbericht eines französischen Senders über das St. Tropez-Festival in Südfrankreich.

    1970 alors première chose des inédits de l album du film policier Zabriskie Point sympa dans la lignée des autres titres. Ensuite sa tourne beaucoup autour d atom heart mother normal il est sortit en 70, le concert de St Tropez est une sorte de pompéii sur les plages, la magie en moins, et San Francisco sympa et jamais vu.
    personnellement pas mon année preferée du groupe entre le psychédelique des 60 et le Rock de Meddle.
