Stephanie is running for her life towards a dock with her 7 year old daughter, Sage in tow in order to escape her abusive husband. The next day, the police find the boat partially destroyed with no sign of mother or daughter. Both are presumed dead.

Ten years later, Stephanie now lives in Palm Springs, CA. She`s changed her name and now works as a successful real estate agent. She`s finally moved on and has gotten engaged . Her daughter Sage, now 17, has changed her name to Rachel and works as a tour guide at the Palm Springs Tramway.

However, Andrew has never gotten over Stephanie. When he finds a hidden box of books about changing one`s identity, Andrew gets suspicious. A private detective manages to track Stephanie down to Palm Springs. Andrew goes after her and his daughter. It all culminates aboard a Palm Springs Tramway gondola, where, 8500 feet above Palm Springs, Andrew makes a final effort to make his ex-wife pay.
