Questa spettacolare storia è ambientata nei paesaggi dell`America Nord Est ed è basata su antichi miti: un giovane ragazzo molto impulsivo di nome Kenai viene magicamente trasformato in un orso. Non gli resta altra scelta se non guardare il mondo attraverso occhi diversi e nel frattempo apprenderà importanti lezioni di vita e combatterà per riguadagnarsi il suo aspetto umano. Incapace di comunicare con suo fratello umano, Kenai stringe amicizia con Koda, uno scatenatissimo cucciolo di orso e insieme partono per un coraggioso viaggio che li porterà a conoscere se stessi in profondità.
Attraverso scenary mozzafiato, animati in maniera magnifica, Kenai e Koda incontreranno tuti gli animali selvaggi che abitano la foresta, tra cui la spassosa coppia di fratelli alci Rocco & Fiocco, mammut ricoperti di lana, montoni e tanti altri.
