Description

All eight episodes from the first series of the TV comedy drama, centering on a mafia mobster`s attempts to start a new life in Lillehammer, Norway. After testifying against his old buddies in the mob, New York gangster Frank "The Fixer" Tagliano (Steve Van Zandt) enters the FBI witness protection programme, choosing to be relocated to Lillehammer, Norway (he liked the look of it when he saw the 1994 Winter Olympics on TV). Now Norwegian-American immigrant Giovanni Henriksen, he quickly sets about making his new life as comfortable as he can by casually employing a mix of blackmail, extortion and threats to further his ambitions of opening his own bar, "The Flamingo". Unfortunately for Frank, however, his arrival in the town has not gone entirely unnoticed, as the local police soon begin to take an interest in his strangely empty background.

Als neuen Lebensmittelpunkt wählt er das norwegische Lillehammer. Dort stellen ihn nicht nur die kulturellen Unterschiede vor eine Herausforderung, sondern auch das ständige Gefühl nicht ganz so einfach mit seiner Vergangenheit abschliessen zu können.

Norwegisches Migrationsprojekt

Na einfach wieder eine neue TV-Serie, könnte man meinen. Doch was hier geboten wird, ist einfach nur beste Unterhaltung. Steven van Zandt, auch bekannt als Little Steven (u.a. auch Gitarrist bei Bruce Springsteen) glänt als Maifioso in Lilyhammer. Ein norwegisches Migrationsprojekt zum Lachen! Macht definitiv süchtig! Mehr davon!

wer der besten Serie ever, den Sopranos, nachtrauert kann seine Tränen mit dieser genialen Serie trocknen. Steve van Zandt, der auch schon bei den Sopranos eine tolle Rolle innehatte, brilliert auch hier wieder als ausgefuchster, grantiger Mafiosi. Auch der Spielort in Norwegen macht die Serie zu einem absoluten Highlight in der Serien-Landschaft: uneingeschränkter Kauftipp für alle, die auf inhaltlich und schauspielerisch hochstehende Serien abseits von CSI stehen...
