Description

Channeling his deepest libidinal desires and darkest fears into films, with no apparent concern for narrative convention or the boundaries of mainstream taste, Jess Franco is a cinematic iconoclast. And Franco was never better than when working with his wife, Lina Romay (1954-2012), a haunted waif who would go to any extreme to assure that the director`s wildest imaginings were brought to the screen without compromise.

Their most highly-regarded collaboration, Female Vampire stars Romay as the mysterious Countess Irina Karlstein, a beautiful vampiress who feeds on victims at their moments of sexual climax. Because she destroys those who essence she consumes, Irina is doomed to a life of solitude, wandering through the Western Coast of Europe in a dreamlike state, shrouded in a lush musical score by Daniel White.

This Redemption edition includes the extended erotic version (Female Vampires), as well as the shorter horror version (Erotikill), in which Irina draws her liquid sustenance from more conventional parts of the human anatomy.

Jess Franco at his best! Dialoge zum Davonlaufen, eine Schauspielerin die in die Kamera läuft, Musik zum Schreien, unscharfe, verwackelte Bilder ("Sex-Szenen"). usw. Für Trash-Fans ein wahres Vergnügen, für den Rest grauenhaft.
PS: Von diesem Gemurkse existieren unzählige Versionen. Einmal mehr in Richtung Horror, ein andermal mehr Richtung XXX-Streifen. D.h. es gibt keine "richtige" Originalversion.

Ich habe die ungeschnittene Fassung von diesem Film gesehen, falls man diesen scheiss überhaupt als Film bezeichnen kann, und die ist so ziemlich der schlechteste Film ever. Und ich habe Night of the Deamon-Die Teufel tanzen weiter Meet the Feebles gesehen.Ich würde mit scheisse abstimmen aber das gibt es ja nicht.

Die uncut Fassung ist leider auch nicht besser (hat nur mehr Sex, auch Hardcore und eine S/M-Szene). Diese Red Edition gibt's auch mit einem "richtigen" Red Edition-Cover. Der Film an sich ist einfach eine Mischung aus Sexfilmchen und Horror-B-Movie, wobei eigentlich mehr Sex als Horror. Die Lina Romay rennt praktisch nur nackt rum und das ganze plätschert dann so vor sich hin, wobei der Film zum Glück geschnitten ist und daher nicht ganz so lange dauert.

stark geschnittene version. spielt aber keine rolle bei diesem film. ob cut oder nicht: mist bleibt mist. bei jess franco ist ja nichts anderes zu erwarten.

Diese «Red Edition» ist (wie so oft) ein schlechter Witz... Auf der Rückseite steht tatsächlich in grossen Buchstaben "ungekürzte Fassung". O.k., die verstümmelte deutsche Version wurde mit Originalszenen (und diese dafür jetzt mit deutschen Untertiteln) ergänzt. Die wirklich ungeschnittene (Hardcore-)Version ist aber etwa eine Viertelstunde länger!
Keine Version ist aber wirklich gut... Wie so oft zeigt Franco viel nackte Haut - aber in verschwommenen Bildern und ohne Erotik. Etwas Gewalt - jedoch ohne gute Effekte und in diesem Film auch noch fast ohne Blut...

Auch bekannt als "Erotikill" und "Lady Dracula". Ist wirklich zum gähnen. Echte Horror-/Splatterfreaks lassen die Finger davon.
