Description

James Bond è ricercato dal killer Francisco Scaramanga, uso a colpire le sue vittime con proiettili d'oro. Questi deve eliminarlo per conto di una misteriosa organizzazione con sede ad Hong Kong, che mira a sfruttare un apparato per la captazione dell'energia solare, inventato da uno scienziato britannico, per la costruzione di un'arma segreta destinata ad assicurare ai suoi possessori il dominio del mondo. Recatosi ad Hong Kong, Bond non tarda a scoprire che il capo della gang è l'industriale cinese Hai Fah, al quale però, dopo averlo ucciso, si sostituisce lo stesso Scaramanga. Impegnato ormai in un mortale duello con lui, Bond raggiunge l'ambizioso killer nell'isolotto che gli fa da covo. Nello scontro conclusivo, l'agente segreto ha la meglio sul suo criminale avversario.

so schlecht ist der gar nicht!
interessante drehorte, tolle stunts, schauspiellegende christopher lee als bösewicht und interessante dialoge (James Bond: Pistols at dawn; it's a little old-fashioned, isn't it?
Francisco Scaramanga: That it is. But it remains the only true test for gentlemen.

So ne geile Aussage von mikejb vorher! Das klingt ja wie: Ich hasse Coca-Cola, aber ich trinke es dennoch literweise! Nein, nein: Dieser Bond bemüht sich zwar redlich, spannend zu sein, schafft es aber in keiner Weise. Zu schleppend und zu simpel. In meinen Augen kommt das Duell als Story so dürftig rüber, dass einem das Gesicht einschläft, v.a. hinsichtlich Dramaturgie bei anderen Bonds. Schade, denn auch Christopher Lee und aus Thailand hätte man weit mehr ausholen können. Für mich der definitiv schlechteste Bond. Ich kaufe die DVD höchstens wengen den Extras.
