Nine-Eleven awakened America to the consequences of its actions, and to its
responsibilities in the world. As the world's only superpower, America has a
higher responsibility than other countries. It must lead the world in fighting tyranny
in its many forms. It must be the impartial world sheriff.
But America also has the responsibility to lead the world in promoting
democracy, human rights, and peace. This is moralpolitiks, the use of wealth and
knowledge to build a better world. This is America's heart and soul. This is
America's best and highest destiny."
