By the time she was twenty - caught up in the incredible youth explosion of the Sixties - she was a key player on the up and coming Mersey scene, managed by Brian Epstein and friends with the Beatles. She enjoyed hit after smash hit as Cilla Black, selling a hundred thousand records a day. Cilla became a prominent television presenter in the 1980s and 1990s with shows such as Blind Date and Surprise Surprise.
