Informationen zum Autor Kim Strom-Gottfried (Ph.D., LISW) will be Assistant Dean of the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, beginning Fall 1999. She has taught for over ten years on both the BSW and MSW levels, and has been involved in field practica as an agency field instructor, faculty liaison and Acting Director of Field Education. Her practice experience includes direct service, administrative and planning positions in the field of mental health, through nonprofit and public agencies. She is actively involved in continuing professional education, developing and delivering workshops on a variety of topics, including "Training for Trainers", "Ethics" and "License Exam Preparation" courses. She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on private practice, ethics, creative teaching and the effects of managed care on social work and social work education.
