She has written more than seventy books, many of which are picture-book classics, such as Mr. Rabbit and the Lovely Present and William's Doll . She lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. Tana Hoban 's (1917–2006) photographs have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and in galleries around the world. She has won many gold medals and prizes for her work as a photographer and filmmaker.
