John F Votaw is the Executive Director, Cantigny First Division Foundation, Wheaton, Illinois. Lieutenant Colonel (US Army, Retired) Votaw, a graduate of the US Military Academy (1961), commanded US Army cavalry and armored units through the battalion level and served in Vietnam in 1966–67. He completed graduate studies in history at the University of California, Davis (MA, 1969) and Temple University (PhD, 1991).Duncan Anderson MBE was head of war studies at Sandhurst Academy. He served as a founding academic mentor at the Iraqi Military Academy and later the Afghan National Army Officers’ Academy and his publications include The Battle for Manila (with R. M. Connaughton and John Pimlott, 1995), The World at War, 1939-45 (1998), The Fall of the Reich (2000), The Falklands War 1982 (2002), Glass Warriors: The Camera at War (2005), The Eastern Front (2018).
