Informationen zum Autor Denise D. Knight is professor of English at the State University of New York, Cortland, and president of the Charlotte Perkins Gilman Society. She is author of Charlotte Perkins Gilman: A Study of the Short Fiction (1997) and editor of Herland, The Yellow Wall-Paper, and Selected Writings of Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1999); The Abridged Diaries of Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1998); Nineteenth-Century American Women Writers: A Bio-Bibliographical Critical Sourcebook (1997); The Later Poetry of Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1996); a two-volume critical edition of The Diaries of Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1994); and The Yellow Wall-Paper and Selected Stories of Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1994). Her work has appeared in numerous essay collections and journals. Her current project is a critical edition of Wharton's Ethan Frome and Summer . Cynthia J. Davis is associate professor of English at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She is author of Bodily and Narrative Forms: The Influence of Medicine on American Literature, 1845-1915 (2000) and the coauthor of Women Writers in the United States: A Timeline of Social, Cultural, and Literary History (1996). Her current project is a biography of Charlotte Perkins Gilman.
