Currently, he writes official histories as a military historian for the Department of Defense and is an adjunct Associate Professor at Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs. Alexander Deryabin graduated from Moscow State Historical Archival Institute in 1982 and worked for ten years at the Institute of Military History, Military of Defense. He has published numerous books in Russian about the uniforms and history of the Russian Civil War.
