This volume covers key topics at the interface of human resource management and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. HRM and I/O Psychology cover closely related issues, but the approach adopted by I/O psychology is empirically driven and applies strong measurement techniques and the testing of ideas, principles and theories. The chapters in this volume focus on the individual and are grouped into two sections: personnel psychology and human resource management. Personnel psychology includes personnel selection, assessment, 360 degree feedback, assessment centres and cognitive ability testing. Human resource management considers wider issues, including learning strategies, training, absence, turnover, commitment and the psychological contract.
Written by leading scholars with international reputations in their fields, this collection provides a high quality review that will be invaluable to researchers and practitioners alike.
