Informationen zum Autor Itzchak Weismann is senior lecturer at the Department of Middle Eastern history, University of Haifa, Israel.  His research interests focus on modern Islam, particularly interrelations between Sufism and fundamentalist and radical movements. Report

'Weismann has made an admirable contribution to Sufi studies, useful for nonspecialists, especially political scientists, anthropologists, and others interested in Sufism. Let us hope that many libraries order it...' - Arthur F Buehler, Victoria University, New Zealand, International Journal of Middle East Studies, August 2009
